Short answer: Paste the job post and tell your AI to act as the interviewer. Ask it to give one question at a time, wait for your answer, and give honest feedback. Many apps also have voice mode, so you can practice out loud.
Interviews are nerve-racking. Practicing with a friend is awkward. Practicing with a mirror is weirder. AI is a nice middle ground: honest, patient, and it won't tell your cousin how you did.
Step 1: Set the scene
Act as the hiring manager for this job. Interview me for 15 minutes. Ask one question at a time and wait for my answer. Mix common questions with ones specific to this job. Don't give feedback until I say "done." [paste the job post]
Got a resume? Paste it too. But first remove your phone number, email, and street address.
Step 2: Answer like it's real
Type your answers. Or, if your app has a voice mode, talk them out loud. Speaking is better practice, because that's how the real interview works.
Step 3: Get feedback
Done. Give me honest feedback on each answer: what was strong, what was weak, and a better way to say it. Then give me my top 3 things to work on.
Step 4: Practice the hard ones
Ask me the "tell me about a time you failed" question three more times. Each time, coach me to tighten my answer.
Ask me "why is there a gap in your resume?" and help me give a calm, honest answer.
Ask me about salary, then help me answer without naming a number too early.
Step 5: Prep your questions
Give me 5 smart questions to ask the interviewer at the end, based on this job post.
