Privacy at Ask Milo

We keep this simple. We collect very little, we never sell it, and we don't show you creepy ads.

What we collect and why

Your email (if you sign up). We use it to send The Milo Memo. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Your first name (if you give it). We use it to say hi.
Survey answers. Some surveys are tied to your email so we can send you better ideas. Others are anonymous, and each survey tells you which kind it is before you start.
Which AI you use. If you tell us, we tag it on your account so you get tips for that tool.
Votes and ideas you send us. We count votes. If you send an idea, we keep what you wrote and the name you give us, which is optional. We read every idea before anything goes on the site.
How people use the site. We use Google Analytics to count visits, pages, and devices. It only sets its cookie if you click "OK." If you say "No thanks," it just counts the visit with no cookie.
Your internet address, for a short time. We use it to block spam bots. We delete it within 2 days.

Cookies and your choice

Google Analytics sets one kind of cookie (named _ga) only after you click "OK" on the bar at the bottom of the page. We use no ad cookies. If you log in to member extras, we set one login cookie that ends when you log out or close your browser. You can change your mind any time with the Cookie choices link at the bottom of every page.

What stays on your device

Your saved list, your votes, your cookie choice, and whether you closed the signup box are kept in your browser, not on our servers. Clearing your browser's data wipes them.

Who helps us run the site

Our own server keeps the mailing list and sends the confirm, welcome, and login emails.
Kit (ConvertKit) keeps a copy of the mailing list (email, first name, and which AI you use) and sends The Milo Memo.
Google reCAPTCHA checks that forms are filled in by a person, not a bot.
InMotion Hosting runs our website and our private database.
Google Analytics counts visits.

That's it. We don't sell or rent your info to anyone.

Affiliate links and sponsors

Some links may be affiliate links. The company you visit may use cookies to know you came from us. Sponsored spots are always labeled. See our affiliate disclosure.

Your choices

Unsubscribe any time from any email.
Change your cookie choice with the "Cookie choices" link at the bottom of every page.
Want to see, fix, or delete your info? Email milo@askmiloaboutai.com and we'll take care of it.
We don't knowingly collect info from kids under 13.

If anything changes, we'll update this page.
