Short answer: Show your AI two or three things you've written that sound like you. Ask it to learn your style, then draft your listing or email in that voice. Read every word, fix anything that isn't true, and send it yourself.
Selling on Etsy or eBay? Tutoring? Doing a little freelance work? You probably write the same kinds of messages over and over. AI can write the first draft. You add the sparkle.
Step 1: Teach it your voice
Paste in a few things you wrote that you like. Old listings, emails, even a Facebook post.
Here are three things I wrote. Describe my writing style in 5 bullet points (tone, sentence length, words I like). Then use that style for everything I ask next. [paste your examples]
Step 2: Write a product listing
Write an Etsy listing for a hand-knit baby blanket. Facts: soft acrylic yarn, machine washable, 30 x 36 inches, mint green, takes me 2 weeks to make. Give me a short title, a 3-sentence description, and 5 bullet points. Use my style. Don't add any facts I didn't give you.
That last line is the magic part. Otherwise AI might claim your blanket is "organic bamboo blessed by monks."
Step 3: Write client emails
Write a friendly email to a new tutoring client confirming Tuesday 4 pm sessions at $40 an hour. Mention that I need 24 hours' notice to cancel. Keep it under 120 words.
A customer says their order arrived late. Write a kind, short reply. Apologize, offer 10% off their next order, and don't make excuses.
Write a polite reminder for an invoice that's 2 weeks overdue. Firm, but not grumpy.
Step 4: Save your favorites
